Leading with Impact: Essential Traits of Effective Leaders

Source: LinkedIn
At some point, everyone faces challenges that test their resilience. Whether you're recovering from a breakup, tackling a difficult skill at work, or healing from surgery, overcoming adversity demands mental strength and self-assurance.
Resilience comes naturally to some, but others might need to develop it consciously. Psychologists and executive coaches highlight three phrases that resilient individuals avoid:
"I can't deal with this." Many people default to avoiding difficult situations, succumbing to a fight-or-flight response. However, resilient individuals adopt a proactive approach. Brooklyn-based executive coach Jason Shen advises leaning on your support network, a concept he refers to as "tend and befriend." Building and maintaining connections with friends and colleagues can provide the support you need during tough times. Consider scheduling regular check-ins with your support system to help you navigate stress more effectively.
"I'm the victim." Experiencing hardship can sometimes lead to feelings of helplessness. Instead of embracing a victim mentality, which amplifies self-doubt and despair, resilient people reframe their perspective. Psychologist Cortney S. Warren suggests shifting from "I'm a victim and powerless" to "How can I grow from this?" This mindset fosters resilience by focusing on personal growth and strength.
"Yes" when you don’t want to. Overcommitting by constantly saying "yes" can lead to burnout and stress. Psychologist Jessica Jackson emphasizes the importance of setting boundaries. Resilient individuals prioritize their needs and are not afraid to say no when necessary. If you need to reschedule plans or ask for help at work, it's essential to prioritize your well-being over pleasing others.
By avoiding these limiting phrases and adopting a resilient mindset, you can better navigate life's challenges and emerge stronger.

The Future of Health: How New Apps Are Transforming Your Medical Records

Source: The New York Times
Accessing your medical records in the U.S. is set to become much simpler. Epic Systems has announced that patients will soon be able to share their health data with any app they choose using their Epic login credentials. This change, driven by the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA), aims to create a unified, secure system for exchanging health information.
TEFCA connects various health networks, making it easier to transfer records and view them across different platforms. Patients will have more control over their data, integrating it into apps for health management and reminders. This advancement addresses past issues with fragmented health data, ensuring apps comply with privacy standards and offering a seamless experience.

Cardi B is set to become a mother of three. On Thursday, the Grammy-winner took to Instagram to reveal her pregnancy with a series of photos highlighting her baby bump.
In her post, Cardi expressed gratitude for this new chapter, writing, “You have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power.” She also shared her excitement for the new arrival, saying, “I can’t wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do!”
The announcement coincides with reports that Cardi B has filed for divorce from Migos rapper Offset. The couple, who share two children—six-year-old Kulture and two-year-old Wave—have had a tumultuous relationship since their 2017 wedding. Cardi hinted at personal changes, noting, “with every ending comes a new beginning,” though she did not explicitly mention her separation from Offset.
