Knicks’ Strong Performance vs. Hawks Signals Hope as They Enter All-Star Break

A win is a win, and that’s exactly how the Knicks feel after their 149-148 overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Despite playing the second game of a back-to-back and watching a sizable second-half lead slip away—including being up by six with just 10 seconds left in regulation—New York managed to secure their second consecutive win, thanks to key performances from Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson as they head into the All-Star break.

“It’s great to go into the break with a win,” Brunson said after the game. “No matter how we got it or what happened, I’m just happy we fought through, regardless of the positives or negatives. And we came away with the win.”

Brunson finished with 36 points on 13-of-21 shooting, along with eight assists. However, his most crucial contribution came with the game-winner in the closing seconds of overtime.

With 20 seconds left, Brunson brought the ball upcourt, shook off his defender with a quick dribble move, and drained the go-ahead shot from the top of the key, giving the Knicks a one-point lead with 11 seconds remaining.

After the Win: What’s RFK Jr.’s Next Move?

America’s health secretaries typically have polished résumés, crafted to be as flawless as possible. While occasional scandals might arise during their tenures, such as Tom Price's reported love of chartered jets, most nominees for the Department of Health and Human Services are so credentialed that it’s hard to find anything that could disqualify them.

However, Donald Trump's choice of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was confirmed today as the new health secretary, was intentionally meant to break this pattern. Kennedy has positioned himself as a truth-teller, aiming to dismantle the “corporate capture” and “tyrannical, senseless bureaucracies” that he believes have overtaken public health agencies. Still, his confirmation is strikingly surprising in any political context other than today’s, where an online provocateur holds a top position in the Justice Department and a teenager known as “Big Balls” is advising the State Department.

Kennedy has widely accepted views on fighting corruption and aiding Americans with chronic diseases, but his credentials are far from flawless—almost to a comical extent. He has spread numerous unfounded and dangerous conspiracy theories about vaccines, AIDS, anthrax, JFK’s assassination, COVID-19, sunlight, gender dysphoria, and 5G. He has potential financial conflicts of interest, and has spoken bizarrely about a worm supposedly eating part of his brain and discarding a dead bear in Central Park. He’s also been accused of sexual assault, an allegation he denied, claiming it had been “debunked” during his confirmation hearing.

Exploring Julia Roberts' Real Estate Empire: Where Does She Really Live?

Where does Julia Roberts live? While her iconic smile, stellar career, and philanthropic work are likely the first things that come to mind, the Hollywood star has also built an impressive real estate portfolio over the years. Since her rise to fame in the late ’80s and early ’90s, the Pretty Woman actress has bought and sold properties in locations like New York City, San Francisco, Taos, New Mexico, Maui and Kauai in Hawaii, and Malibu, among others. Roberts has often spoken about her deep love for family and how her homes serve as her personal sanctuaries away from the public eye. "When I’m not working, [being a homemaker] is my full-time job,” she shared with CBS Sunday Morning in 2022. “It isn’t rainbows and kittens every day, but it does bring me a lot of joy.”
