City of San Antonio Opens Overnight Resilience Hubs Beginning Monday

VIA passengers can travel fare-free to these locations. Additionally, several other locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on January 20, offering residents a place to stay warm during the day. Reproductive Health Website Run by Government Faces Outage

The government website reproductiverights.gov appeared to be offline on the evening of President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Launched in 2022 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as part of a public awareness campaign, the site provided information on access to abortion and reproductive health care, including a Know-Your-Rights patient fact sheet.

A statement on the website highlighted the importance of reproductive health care, including access to birth control and safe, legal abortion. It emphasized that despite the overturning of Roe v. Wade, abortion remains legal in many states, and other reproductive health services continue to be protected by law.

The site also stated that most employer-based and private health insurance plans are required to cover certain prescription birth control methods under the Affordable Care Act, which Trump has previously sought to repeal. Additional services covered by most insurance plans, such as breast and cervical cancer screenings, prenatal care, and HIV screenings, were also listed.

It further clarified that while abortion laws vary by state, Mifepristone, used in combination with misoprostol for medication abortion, has been approved by the FDA and is considered safe and effective when used properly.
