Safety Alert from FDA: Health Concerns Prompt Warning on Specific Infant Formulas

Source: Food Safety News

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a safety alert for several infant formula products that do not meet federal safety standards. The alert specifically concerns Crecelac and Farmalac formulas, which have been associated with serious health risks for infants.

This alert follows a recall by Dairy Manufacturers Inc. on May 24, 2024, due to elevated potassium and chloride levels and insufficient Vitamin A in Crecelac Infant Powdered Goat Milk Formula. These imbalances can lead to significant health issues, such as kidney and heart problems from excessive potassium and chloride, and vision issues from prolonged Vitamin A deficiency. Despite the recall, the FDA warns that some of these products may still be in use at home.

Trump Slams ABC's Rachel Scott as 'Nasty' and 'Hostile

Source: Fox News

During a live interview at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago, former President Donald Trump launched a harsh critique against ABC’s Rachel Scott, one of the event's moderators. Trump described Scott’s questioning as "horrible" and "nasty," expressing his displeasure with the manner in which she posed her question.

Scott began the interview by welcoming Trump and thanking him for his time. She then posed a question addressing past controversial statements and actions by Trump, including claims about his rivals and criticism of Black individuals and journalists. Trump responded by accusing Scott of presenting her question in a rude and hostile manner, asserting that she did not greet him properly and was late to the event due to technical issues.

Trump claimed that he was misled about the presence of his political opponents at the event and expressed frustration over what he described as Scott’s disrespectful approach. He repeatedly criticized Scott’s tone and accused her of contributing to delays before the panel started. A source confirmed that Trump requested no live fact-checking of his responses, which further postponed the event’s start.
